ALL STATE — Congratulations to Zak Lewis on making the All-State Jazz Ensemble! This is an extraordinary accomplishment as he beat out 20+ area bass trombonists and many more region level musicians to make 2nd chair in the state!!! He will perform in San Antonio in February at the TMEA convention.

FRIDAY FOOTBALL — The call time for the second playoff game is 5:15pm this Friday. The game starts at 7:00pm. The students will meet at Lamar and ride buses to and from the game at UTA stadium. If there are any questions please contact Mr. Lang at

SPRING TRIP — The band is planning a trip to South Padre Island, TX in April to compete in the Texas Music Festival. Further information is available from Mr. Lang and contracts and the deposit are due by Nov. 16th

ALL CITY / REGION — Entries are due this weekend for All-Region. Students should have already turned in their forms to the directors for region entry. The fees for both city and region are due at this time. The all-city fee is $10 and the all-region fee is $15.

LETTER JACKETS — Letter jackets have been ordered through sportswear world. They say the order should arrive in about 1 week.

BAND HOODIES — The LHS Band hoodies are going fast! We still have some in every size. They are $25 and checks are made to the LBBC.
